Brands and space owners in Spain can now search, list, book and get support in their own language, across the whole marketplace.

Space owners anywhere in Spain can list a space in Spanish, and brands can find space right across the country, including Madrid and Barcelona, two of Europe’s strongest markets for short-term retail space, and Valencia, which joins Storefront for the first time.

Brands in Spain have used Storefront to open in Paris, New York, London and Milan. What is new is that they can now do all of it in Spanish, from the first search through to the booking.

Spaces on Storefront are used for pop-up stores, showrooms, galleries, sample sales, product launches and corporate events, by independent labels and global names alike, without the cost or commitment of a long-term lease.

“Spanish brands and space owners are an important part of Storefront, and now the whole marketplace works in their language,” said Mohamed Haouache, CEO and founder of Storefront. “We are trying to make retail accessible. A brand should be able to open a store without signing a five-year lease, and an owner should be able to earn from space that is standing empty. Brands and space owners in Spain have been working with us in English. Working in Spanish makes us far more useful to them, and it opens the door to the many we have not met yet. A space owner anywhere in Spain can list in Spanish, and a Spanish brand can book space in Paris, New York or London in its own language too.”

Space owners anywhere in Spain can list a space in Spanish from the Spanish homepage, in any city in the country. A shopfront between tenants, a quiet floor or an unused unit can be rented by the week or the month rather than standing empty.

The Spanish marketplace is live now at thestorefront.com/es.

About Storefront

Founded in 2014, Storefront is the world’s largest marketplace for pop-up and short-term retail space.
