What does this mean?Near the busy crossroads where Shoreditch High Street meets Old Street and Kingsland Road, this Grade II-listed building dates back to 1735 making it the oldest in Shoreditch with medieval panelling & ‘Shakespeare’s door’ from the original St Leonard’s. No brand has ever had the opportunity to take over the whole of this historic building before, but all four floors – basement, ground, first and attic – are available to let together for the right retail idea.
The crowd
Lined with independent stores, hip hang-outs and restaurants, Shoreditch High Street serves the area’s creative workers and locals from morning until the early hours. Opposite, House of Hackney, Elemental and Aida attract savvy shoppers during the day, and Bar Kick gets packed out in the evenings. The area is liveliest at weekends, especially on Sundays as tourists and locals head to Columbia Road market nearby, but it’s got a good buzz about it during the week, too. Shoreditch High Street station is a five-minute walk away.
Meet the neighbours
You’ll be right next door to St Leonard’s Church, which hosts regular concerts and events alongside its Sunday services, and vintage furniture restorers and shop Restoration Station. Bar Kick, Atomic Antiques, House of Hackney and Elemental are all over the road.
