San Francisco has several distinct areas in the city, allowing you to create the perfect event in practically any area. In particular, corporate events tend to happen in the Bay Area. Meanwhile, you can hold more intimate events in places located in the South of Market neighborhood.

There are also a large number of hotels located in San Francisco where you can host large conferences. These hotels include places like The Westin St. Francis Union Square and the Ritz-Carlton. Or you could host a large event in the Ferry Building across the bay.

Party event venues of various sizes are available all across the city. Areas like the Mission District, Nopa, and Downtown provide plenty of variety for event spaces to lease. 

With a slew of neighborhoods and districts, it might be tough to choose your location. The surrounding area should have plenty to offer, explaining why the bay is such a popular location. However, other places in San Francisco have plenty to offer, depending on your taste.

How much does it cost to rent an event space in San Francisco?

As usual, with event venues to rent in any city, the price will depend on the dates you need to hold your event, the event space's size, and several other factors. A list of general price range and location in San Francisco are listed below:

  • The Mission District has places of all sizes across the pricing spectrum. Smaller event spaces around 300-700 square feet can still be on the more expensive side, starting at about $300 per day. Meanwhile, event venues with more extensive square footage might also offer you a good deal, asking for $200 a day for nearly 2,000 square feet.
  • Inner Richmond, Union Square, and SoMa also pop up often when you're looking for conference space.
  • For more intimate events with a smaller number of guests, Lower Haight, Fisherman's Wharf, and South of Market provide smaller spaces (up to about 2,000 square feet) ranging from about $300 to roughly $1,000 per day. Larger venues in the same areas will, of course, cost more at a daily rate.
