Ice cream pop up returns to bring festive cheer

Kowloon Dairy, Hong Kong’s premier ice cream brand, is running a Christmas-themed Holiday pop-up store in Central to reach new customers and spread the festive spirit.

Selling a selection of high-quality fresh dairy, ice cream, and yogurts, it is the third time Kowloon Dairy has run a pop-up store with highly popular projects in 2018 and 2019, but the first time they have run a Christmas one.

Kowloon Dairy is offering pint-sized ice cream and classic Christmas flavors such as Gingerbread, Hazelnut, and Pumpkin Spice to help everyone get into the festive mood.

The pop up is located at Shop A, 39 Wellington Street in Central, runs until December 23, and is open from 10am to 8pm from Sunday to Wednesday, and 10am to 10pm on Thursday to Saturday.

Franck Vonachen, General Manager at Storefront in Hong Kong, said: “Unfortunately, the space used by the brand previously was not available. However, we were honored and excited to work on a new project with Kowloon Dairy and were able to find a solution by opening the doors of a vacant ready-to-move-in retail unit in the heart of Central.

“This is the first Christmas-themed holiday pop-up by Kowloon Dairy,” said a Kowloon Diary spokesperson. “We hope our customers come in great numbers and that they enjoy the cozy atmosphere set up by Kowloon Dairy to kick-start the festivities and take selfies in their best Christmas outfit.

The Kowloon Dairy Brand was born when founder Li Lan Sang joined his friends in a business partnership in 1940. In their earliest entrepreneurial days, with a handful of employees, the company served a limited area in north Kowloon.

Today, with over 450 employees and a territory-wide distribution covering all major retail chains and outlets, Kowloon Dairy delivers a full range of pasteurized fresh milk and milk products, from whole to skimmed to flavored, drinking yogurt, and specialty ice creams.
